Albert Kirby Fairfax, 12th Lord Fairfax of Cameron was born on 23 June 1870.1 He was the son of Dr. John Contée Fairfax and Mary Brown Kirby.1,2 He married Maud Wishart McKelvie, daughter of James McKelvie, on 19 January 1922.1 He died on 4 October 1939 at age 69.1
He succeeded as the 12th Lord Fairfax of Cameron [S., 1627] on 28 September 1900.1 He was naturalized as a U.K. citizen on 17 November 1908.1 On 17 November 1908 he established his claim to his title with the House of Lords.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] in 1917.1 He was a member of Fairfax & Company, of George Street, London.1 He was a partner of Bonbright & Company, George Street, London.1
