Jane Harriot Cockburn is the daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little.2 She married James Nicholas Duntze, son of Sir John Duntze, 1st Bt. and Frances Lewis, on 3 June 1794.1
She was also known as Harriet Jane Cockburn.3 From 3 June 1794, her married name became Duntze.

Lt.-Col. Sir Claude Villiers Emilius Laurie Laurie of Maxwelton, 4th Bt. was born on 25 November 1855.1 He was the son of Rev. Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie of Maxwelton, 3rd Bt. and Marianne Sophia Rice.2 He died on 19 February 1930 at age 74, unmarried.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1905 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Honoraray Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1914 and 1916 in the 2nd/5th Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bayley, of Bedford Square, Middlesex [U.K., 1834] on 4 December 1917.1
