     Admiral of the Fleet Sir Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdee, 1st Bt. was born on 9 June 1859 at Charlton, Kent, England.3 He was the son of Frederick Rannie Sturdee and Anna Hodson.1 He married Marion Adela Andrews, daughter of William John Andrews, on 23 September 1882.3,4 He died on 7 May 1925 at age 65 at Wargrave House, Camberley, Surrey, England.3
     Admiral of the Fleet Sir Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdee, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Doveton.5 He was commissioned in 1871, in the service of the Royal Navy.4 He fought in the Egyptian War in 1882.4 He gained the rank of Captain in 1899.4 He was commander of the British Forces in Samoa in 1899.4 He was Assistant Director of Naval Intelligence between 1899 and 1902.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1900.4 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1903.4 He was Chief of Staff, Mediterranean Fleet between 1905 and 1907.4 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM King Edward VII between 1905 and 1907.4 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1906.3 He was Chief of Staff, Channel Fleet in 1907.4 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1908.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1913.4 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1913.4 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he commanded the force that destroyed the German Pacific Fleet off the Falklands on 8 Dec 1914.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1916.4 He was created 1st Baronet Sturdee, of the Falkland islands [U.K.] on 19 January 1916.5 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1917.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1921.3 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in 1921.3

     Leslie Stewart Macoun was born on 31 July 1874.1 He was the son of John Robert Macoun and Wilhelmina Moorehead Dawson.1 He married Julia Maud Borden, daughter of Sir Frederick Borden, on 22 May 1906.1 He died on 19 January 1942 at age 67, killed when he was torpedoed by a UBoat while on a voyage from Canada to Barbadoes.1
     He was a clerk.1 He emigrated to CanadaG arriving on 1890.1
