Richard White, 1st Earl of Bantry was born on 6 August 1767. He was the son of Simon White and Frances Jane Eyre.1 He married Lady Margaret Anne Hare, daughter of William Hare, 1st Earl of Listowel and Mary Wrixon, on 3 November 1799 at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG, with a fortune of £30,000.1 He died on 2 May 1851 at age 83 at Glengariff Lodge, County Cork, IrelandG.1
In 1797 he assisted in repelling the French invasion at Bantry Bay.1 He was created 1st Baron Bantry, of Bantry, co. Cork [Ireland] on 24 March 1797.1 He gained the title of 1st Viscount Bantry, of Bantry, co. Cork [Ireland] on 29 December 1800.1 He was created 1st Earl of Bantry, of Bantry, co. Cork [Ireland] on 22 January 1816.1 He was created 1st Viscount Berehaven [Ireland] on 22 January 1816.1 He lived at Bantry, County Cork, IrelandG.1
Gibbs reports that "he possess large property which he inherits through his grandfather, who made an immense fortune in the profession of the law. He is a warm supporter of all measures of government, and an avocate for the union."1

Lady Mary Hare was the daughter of William Hare, 1st Earl of Listowel and Mary Wrixon.1 She married, firstly, Charles Morley Balders in 1803.1 She married, secondly, Captain Thomas Royse Morgell in 1824.1 She died in 1841.1

Lt.-Col. Richard Hare was born in July 1803.1 He was the son of Colonel Richard Hare, Viscount Ennismore and Hon. Catherine Bridget Dillon.1,2 He married Mary Christina Windham, daughter of Vice-Admiral William Windham, on 20 October 1835.1 He died on 5 August 1881 at age 78.1
