     Maj.-Gen. Reginald Curtis was born on 1 February 1829.¹ He was the son of Charles Berwick Curtis and Henrietta Pearson.² He married Marianne Emma Salmond, daughter of James Salmond and Emma Isabella Coke, on 10 January 1863.¹ He died in 1894.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Christiana Fanshawe Stopford was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Robert Stopford and Mary Fanshawe.¹ She married Reverend William Frederick Douglas, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Howard Douglas, 3rd Bt. and Anne Dundas, on 30 April 1846.¹ She died on 3 October 1855.¹
     Her married name became Douglas.

     Reverend William Frederick Douglas was born circa 1814.² He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Howard Douglas, 3rd Bt. and Anne Dundas.^1,3 He married Christiana Fanshawe Stopford, daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Robert Stopford and Mary Fanshawe, on 30 April 1846.¹ He married Louisa Harriet Blackwell, daughter of Captain G. Eden Blackwell, on 16 September 1862.⁴ He died on 26 September 1874 at Marylebone, London, England.^4,2
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)⁴ He was Rector at Scrayingham, Yorkshire, England.⁴

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Howard Douglas, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 January 1776.² He was the son of Admiral Sir Charles Douglas, 1st Bt. and Sarah Wood.³ He married Anne Dundas, daughter of James Dundas, in July 1799 at England.³ He died on 9 November 1861 at age 85.²
     He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.² He was commissioned in 1794 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Royal Artillery.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Douglas, of Carr, co. Perth [G.B., 1777] in May 1809.⁴ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 15th Foot.⁴ He fought in the Peninsular Wars.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1815.² He held the office of Governor of New Brunswick between 1823 and 1829.^2,4 He held the office of High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands between 1835 and 1840.^2,4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)⁴ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)⁴ He was appointed K.C.S.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool between 1842 and 1847.² He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)⁴ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)⁴

     Henrietta Maria Stopford was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Robert Stopford and Mary Fanshawe.¹ She married, firstly, Lord Henry Russell, son of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford and Lady Georgiana Gordon, on 21 September 1841.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Cecil William Forester on 7 December 1853.¹ She died on 4 February 1869.¹
     From 21 September 1841, her married name became Russell. From 7 December 1853, her married name became Forester.
