Roger William Wakefield was born on 1 November 1865.1 He was the son of William Wakefield and Marianne Wavell.2 He married Ethel Mary Knott, daughter of John Frederick Knott, on 12 January 1897.3 He died in 1958.1

Sir Edward Birkbeck Wakefield, 1st Bt. was born on 24 July 1903.1 He is the son of Roger William Wakefield and Ethel Mary Knott.2,3 He married Constance Lalage Perronet Thompson, daughter of Sir John Perronet Thompson and Ada Lucia Tyrrell, on 7 December 1929.4 He died on 14 January 1969 at age 65.4

Honora McCarthy is the daughter of Sir Owen McCarthy Reagh.1 She married, firstly, Sir James FitzJames FitzGerald, son of James FitzJohn FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond and Móre O'Carroll, before 1580.2 She married, secondly, Edmond fitz Thomas, 14th Knight of Glin, son of Thomas fitz Thomas and Elinor Bourke, in 1586.1

Thomas FitzGerald, 15th Knight of Glin was the son of Edmond fitz Thomas, 14th Knight of Glin and Honora McCarthy.2 He married Hon. Joan Butler, daughter of James Butler, 2nd/12th Baron Dunboyne.1 He died in 1659.1
He went to Spain as a boy of 14 with Don Juan del Aquila.1 He succeeded as the 15th Knight of Glin.1 In 1613 he revived a chancery suit (begun by his father ) against Dean of Limerick for the advowsons of Kilfergus and Morgans (1625.)1 On 18 December 1628 he obtained livery from the Crown.1
