     Admiral Robert O'Brien was born on 25 October 1776.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.² He married, firstly, Anne O'Brien, daughter of Edward O'Brien and Charlotte Hickman.¹ He married, secondly, unknown (?) on 11 August 1836.² He died on 21 January 1838 at age 61.¹

     Anne O'Brien was the daughter of Edward O'Brien and Charlotte Hickman.² She married Admiral Robert O'Brien, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.¹

     Donough Acheson O'Brien was born in 1780.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.² He married Marianne Lydia Semple, daughter of William Semple, in 1822.¹ He died on 22 October 1847.¹

     Marianne Lydia Semple was the daughter of William Semple.² She married Donough Acheson O'Brien, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench, in 1822.¹ She died on 1 January 1843.¹
     Her married name became O'Brien.

     William Semple lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.²

     Katherine O'Brien was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.² She married Gerald FitzGerald in 1813.² She died on 31 March 1819.¹
     Her married name became FitzGerald.

     Gerald FitzGerald married, secondly, Katherine O'Brien, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench, in 1813.² He married Emily Gibbons, daughter of Sir John Gibbons, 2nd Bt. and Martha Kenrick, on 9 November 1820.¹ He died on 8 April 1845.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Queen's County.² He lived at Coolanowle, County Laois, Ireland^G.

     Anne Maria O'Brien was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.² She married Venerable William Spooner on 11 September 1810 at Newington, Kent, England.^1,3 She died on 24 December 1846.¹
     From 11 September 1810, her married name became Spooner.

     Charlotte Sophia O'Brien was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Lucius O'Brien, 3rd Bt. and Anne ffrench.² She married Reverend Gerard Thomas Noel, son of Sir Gerard Noel Noel, 2nd Bt. and Diana Middleton, Baroness Barham, in February 1806.¹ She died on 31 August 1838.¹
     From February 1806, her married name became Noel.

     George William Hamilton FitzMaurice, 6th Earl of Orkney was born on 6 May 1827.¹ He was the son of Thomas John Hamilton FitzMaurice, 5th Earl of Orkney and Hon. Charlotte Isabella Irby.¹ He married Amelia Samuel, daughter of Samuel Moses Samuel and Esther Cohen, on 28 November 1872.¹ He died on 21 October 1889 at age 62.¹
     He was commissioned in 1845, in the service of the 92nd Highlanders.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Commissioner of the Ioanian Islands between 1851 and 1854.¹ He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 71st Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1856 and 1857 in the Scots Fusilier Guards.¹ He wrote the book Four Years in the Ionian Islands, published 1864.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1866.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1875.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Kirkwall [S., 1696] on 16 May 1877.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Orkney [S., 1696] on 16 May 1877.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baron Dechmont [S., 1696] on 16 May 1877.¹ He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1885 and 1889.¹
