Captain George Somerville Digby was born on 27 September 1805.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Digby and Mary Somerville.1 He married Lady Emily Jane Butler-Danvers, daughter of Augustus Richard Butler-Danvers and Eliza Bizarre Sturt, on 6 September 1836.1 He died on 16 November 1864 at age 59.1
