     From 10 November 1944, her married name became Crosbie.

John Leslie Crosbie was born on 31 July 1914.¹ He was the son of Surg-Rear-Admiral Pierse Leslie Crosbie and Winifred Crosbie.² He married Phyllis Annette Etches, daughter of Major Charles Edward Etches, on 26 December 1939.¹ He died on 10 April 2006 at age 91 at Ipswich, Suffolk, England.³
     He was educated at Epsom College, Epsom, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with Coastal Command.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹
