     George Tilson Shaen Carter was born on 6 March 1848.2 He was the son of Thomas Shaen Carter and Maria Susan Tilson.2 He married, firstly, Eva Augusta French, daughter of William John French, on 15 April 1878.2 He married, secondly, Grace Hughes, daughter of Reverend David Hughes, on 3 October 1894.2 He married, thirdly, Edith Hamilton Urry.2 He died on 4 September 1918 at age 70.2
     He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Pebworth Manor, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, EnglandG.2 He lived at Shaen Manor, County Mayo, IrelandG.2 At Watlington Park, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, (an unknown value.)2

     Arthur Tilson Shaen Carter was born on 14 September 1851.1 He was the son of Thomas Shaen Carter and Maria Susan Tilson.2 He married Viola Alexandra Bingham, daughter of Denis Bingham and Elizabeth Elinor Nash, on 6 June 1885.1 He died on 11 June 1894 at age 42 at Jamaica.1,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1
