He was educated at St. Augustine's College, Ramsgate, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was awarded the Knight of Honour and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1947.1 He was awarded the Cross of Merit in 1953 1st class with Crown.1 He was awarded the Knight, Order of St. Gregory the Great (K.S.G.) in 1955.1 He was awarded the Bailiff Grand Cross, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1957.1 He was chairman of P.
