Michael Kenneth O'Malley Dewar of that Ilk and Vogrie was born on 13 August 1915.² He was the son of Vice-Admiral Kenneth Gilbert Balmain Dewar and Gertrude Mary Stapleton-Bretherton.² He married Alice Maureen O'Malley, daughter of Reverend John James Evans O'Malley, on 19 October 1940.² He died on 13 May 2000 at age 84.²
