Sir James Gibson-Craig of Riccarton, 1st Bt.1

     Sir James Gibson-Craig of Riccarton, 1st Bt. was born on 11 October 1765.2 He was the son of William Gibson and Mary Cecilia Balfour.3 He married Anne Thomson, daughter of J. Thomson, on 14 September 1796.2 He died on 6 March 1850 at age 84.2
     He held the office of Clerk of the Signet in Scotland.2 On 19 August 1818 his name was legally changed to James Gibson-Craig of Riccarton so adopted under ‘name and arms' clause of entail by Robert Craig of Riccarton.2 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1823.2 He was created 1st Baronet Gibson-Craig, of Riccarton, Midlothian [U.K.] on 30 September 1831.1

     John Buckle married Isabella Hay-Mackenzie, daughter of Edward Hay-MacKenzie of Newhall and Cromartie and Hon. Maria Murray-Mackenzie, on 1 November 1817.1 He died in 1863.1
     He lived at Wharton House, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1

     Dorothea Hay-Mackenzie was the daughter of Edward Hay-MacKenzie of Newhall and Cromartie and Hon. Maria Murray-Mackenzie.1 She married Sir David Hunter Blair of Blairquhan, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 1st Bt. and Jean Blair, on 2 July 1813.1 She died on 22 May 1820.1
     She was also known as Dorothea MacKenzie.2 From 2 July 1813, her married name became Hunter Blair.

     Sir David Hunter Blair of Blairquhan, 3rd Bt. was born on 3 October 1778.2 He was the son of Sir James Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 1st Bt. and Jean Blair.2 He married, firstly, Dorothea Hay-Mackenzie, daughter of Edward Hay-MacKenzie of Newhall and Cromartie and Hon. Maria Murray-Mackenzie, on 2 July 1813.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hay, daughter of Sir John Hay, 5th Bt. and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Forbes, on 15 January 1825.2 He died on 26 December 1857 at age 79.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hunter Blair, of Dunskey [G.B., 1786] on 24 May 1800.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Ayrshire Militia.2 He was Convenor and Vice-Lieutenant of Ayrshire.2 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1827.2

     Elizabeth Hay was born on 4 February 1797 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir John Hay, 5th Bt. and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Forbes.1 She married Sir David Hunter Blair of Blairquhan, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 1st Bt. and Jean Blair, on 15 January 1825.1 She died on 3 August 1859 at age 62 at Caldwell Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland.1,2
     From 15 January 1825, her married name became Hunter Blair.

     Georgina Ann Hay-Mackenzie was the daughter of Edward Hay-MacKenzie of Newhall and Cromartie and Hon. Maria Murray-Mackenzie.1 She married James Carr-Boyle, 5th Earl of Glasgow, son of George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow and Lady Augusta Hay, on 4 August 1821.1 She died on 14 March 1895.1
     From 4 August 1821, her married name became Boyle. After her marriage, Georgina Ann Hay-Mackenzie was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 3 July 1843.

     James Carr-Boyle, 5th Earl of Glasgow was born on 10 April 1792.2 He was the son of George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow and Lady Augusta Hay.1 He married Georgina Ann Hay-Mackenzie, daughter of Edward Hay-MacKenzie of Newhall and Cromartie and Hon. Maria Murray-Mackenzie, on 4 August 1821.3 He died on 11 March 1869 at age 76.2
     He was given the name of James Boyle at birth.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.2 On 2 August 1823 his name was legally changed to James Carr-Boyle by Royal Licence.1,2 He held the office of Sheriff Principal of Renfrewshire.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire.2 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Kelburn [S., 1703] on 3 July 1843.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ross of Hawkhead, co. Renfrew [U.K., 1815] on 3 July 1843.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Glasgow [S., 1703] on 3 July 1843.2 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Boyle, of Kelburn, Stewartoun, Finnick, Largs and Dalry [S., 1699] on 3 July 1843.2 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Boyle, of Stewartoun, Cumbraes, Fenwick, Largs and Dalry [S., 1703] on 3 July 1843.2
