Rt. Hon. Charles Hope, Lord Granton was born on 29 June 1763.1 He was the son of John Hope and Mary Breton.1 He married Lady Charlotte Hope, daughter of John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun and Lady Elizabeth Leslie, on 8 August 1793.1 He died on 31 October 1851 at age 88.1

Jane Oliphant was the daughter of Robert Oliphant and Jean Colville.1,2 She married John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun, son of Charles Hope, 1st Earl of Hopetoun and Lady Henrietta Johnstone, on 30 October 1762.1 She died on 16 March 1767.3

Admiral George Carnegie, 6th Earl of Northesk was born on 2 August 1716.1 He was the son of David Carnegie, 4th Earl of Northesk and Lady Margaret Wemyss.1 He married Lady Anne Leslie, daughter of Alexander Leslie, 7th Earl of Leven and Hon. Elizabeth Monypenny, on 30 April 1748.1 He died on 20 January 1792 at age 75.1
