     Reverend Hugh Palliser de Costobadie was baptised on 14 October 1804 at Wensley, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Jacob de Costobadie and Anne Milnes.¹ He married Fanny Barnett Latewand on 23 July 1850 at Berne, Switzerland.¹ He died in 1887.¹
