     Colonel Hugh MacCormac Boyle was born on 18 September 1897.1,2 He was the son of William McCormac Boyle and Ellen Olympia Tayler.3 He married Iris Hickie.1 He died on 27 April 1974 at age 76 at Newbury, Berkshire, England, without issue.1,2
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1
