Sir Thomas Dunlop, 1st Bt. was born on 2 August 1855.2 He was the son of Thomas Dunlop and Robina Jack.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Euphemia Mitchell, daughter of Peter Mitchell, on 12 June 1879.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Mitchell, daughter of Peter Mitchell, on 19 October 1893.2 He died on 29 January 1938 at age 82.2
