John Sebastian Somers Cocks was born on 6 February 1907.1 He was the son of Philip Alphonso Somers Cocks and Gwenllian Blanche Williams.2 He married Marjorie Olive Weller, daughter of Arthur Julius Weller, on 27 December 1946.1 He died on 25 May 1964 at age 57.1
