     Lt.-Col. Frederick St. John Barne was born on 5 September 1842. He was the son of Captain Frederick Barne and Mary Anne Elizabeth Honywood.2 He married Lady Constance Adelaide Seymour, daughter of Sir Francis George Hugh Seymour, 5th Marquess of Hertford and Lady Emily Murray, on 2 November 1871.1 He died on 25 January 1898 at age 55.1

     Harriet Lepel Dorothea Sayer was the daughter of Captain Frederick Sayer.1 She married Harry Claude Frederick Hay-Drummond, son of Colonel Hon. Charles Rowley Drummond of Cromlix and Innerpefray and Arabella Augusta Meyrick, on 25 July 1889.1 She died on 11 July 1922.1
     Her married name became Hay-Drummond.

Richard Samuel Dermot Chenevix Trench1

     Richard Samuel Dermot Chenevix Trench was born on 6 October 1881.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Frederick Chenevix Trench and Mary Frederica Blanche Mulville.1 He died on 1 June 1909 at age 27, by suicide, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of Richard Samuel Chenevix Trench at birth.2 He is immortalized by James Joyce in Ulysses as the character Haines who irritates Stephen Dedalus (aka James Joyce) with his eager passion and knowledge of Irish culture. Trench was an Oxford scholar and champion of the Irish language (Gaelic). He spent time in the Aran Islands perfecting his oral skills. He was a friend of Oliver St. John Gogarty, famous Dublin wit, socialite and surgeon (and Joyce's character Malachi "Buck" Mulligan) which is how the three of them famously ended up together in the Martello tower in Sandycove in 1904 and around whom the opening pages of Ulysses revolve.2    He wrote the book What is the use of reviving Irish, published 1907.2

     Mary Verena Campbell Bald is the daughter of John Bald.1 She married Algernon Richard Francis Hay-Drummond, son of Colonel Hon. Charles Rowley Drummond of Cromlix and Innerpefray and Arabella Augusta Meyrick, on 26 January 1904.1
     She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 Her married name became Hay-Drummond.
