     Grace Gilroy Bowman was the daughter of David W. Bowman.2 She married Sir William Maitland-Heriot, son of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew, on 27 December 1883.1 She died on 14 March 1898.1
     From 27 December 1883, her married name became Maitland-Heriot.1

     Sir William Maitland-Heriot was born on 26 April 1856.1 He was the son of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew.2 He married, firstly, Grace Gilroy Bowman, daughter of David W. Bowman, on 27 December 1883.1 He married, secondly, Alice Harley Bruce, daughter of John Bruce, on 25 April 1902.1 He died on 21 July 1932 at age 76.1
     He was educated at H.M.S. Britannia, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1928.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1930.1
