Lt.-Col. James Dalrymple was the son of Sir William Dalrymple of Cousland, 3rd Bt. and Anne Philp.2,3 He married Mooti Begum, daughter of Nawab of Masulipatan.4 He died on 9 December 1800 at Hyderabad, IndiaG.5

Lt-Gen. Samuel Dalrymple was born in 1760. He was the son of Sir William Dalrymple of Cousland, 3rd Bt. and Anne Philp.1,2 He married Hannah Tweddell, daughter of John Tweddell, in 1791. He married Mary Amelia Haed, daughter of Roper Haed, on 10 May 1831. He died on 2 October 1832.

Hannah Tweddell was the daughter of John Tweddell. She married Lt-Gen. Samuel Dalrymple, son of Sir William Dalrymple of Cousland, 3rd Bt. and Anne Philp, in 1791. She died in 1829.

Wemyss Dalrymple was the daughter of Sir William Dalrymple of Cousland, 3rd Bt. and Anne Philp.1,2 She married Hon. Leveson Granville Keith Murray, son of John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Charlotte Stewart, before 1804.1 She died on 14 December 1804.1 She was also reported to have died on 28 December 1804 at IndiaG.3

Hon. Leveson Granville Keith Murray was born on 16 December 1770.1 He was the son of John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Charlotte Stewart.1 He married, firstly, Wemyss Dalrymple, daughter of Sir William Dalrymple of Cousland, 3rd Bt. and Anne Philp, before 1804.1 He married, secondly, Anne (?) on 24 January 1807.1 He married, thirdly, Louisa Mitty Abraham, daughter of Thomas Abraham, on 10 May 1834.1 He died on 4 January 1835 at age 64.2
