     Richard Shackleton was born on 21 September 1688 at Bingley, Yorkshire, England^G. He was the son of Richard Shackleton and Sarah Brigg. He died on 24 October 1704 at age 16.

     Mary Roper married Roger Shackleton, son of John Shackleton and Jenet Clapham, on 30 April 1640. She died before 2 September 1644.
     Her married name became Shackleton.
