She and Devon George Minchin were divorced in 1964 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.³ She married, thirdly, Otway McLaurin Falkiner, son of Otway Rothwell Falkiner and Elizabeth McLaurin, on 29 May 1978 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.⁴ She married, secondly, Devon George Minchin, son of Alfred Hugh Minchin and Dora Muriel Donaldson, on 16 April 1952 at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Dural, New South Wales, Australia^G, in a NSW BDM index no. 9318/1952 marriage.⁵ She died on 25 October 2010 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.⁶ She was buried on 1 November 2010 at St. Michael's and All-Angels Anglican Church, Foamcrest Avenue, Newport, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.⁶

‘Family and close friends there included Betty’s son Nicholas, who came from Canberra, Mac’s sister Lawre Bruce-Steer, from Bermagui South, Bob and Janice Roland Smith, Bill and Beverley Prior and Bill and Jean Sinclair.
‘The honeymoon will be in Europe, with Betty going on ahead to do a gourmet cooking tour she’d already planned, and Mac flying over to join her in Paris. They’ll take in Spain and Morocco and have taken a villa on the Aegean island of Patmos for a month (it’s up a donkey track, and away from the tourist side of the island.)

Death of Mr. E. A. Rushbrooke

The secretary of the Queen Victoria Homes in Sydney, Mr. Ernest Alfred Rushbrooke, died suddenly at his home at Balgowlah on Saturday, at the age of 55.

Mr. Rushbrooke served with the 37th Battalion, 1st A.I.F., and with the administrative section of the R.A.A.F. in World War II. In the R.A.A.F. he held the rank of Wing-Commander [sic -- WW2 Nominal Roll shows Squadron Leader rank].

He learned to fly after the first world war and pioneered aero club activities in New South Wales, particularly in Newcastle, where he managed the Aero Club for 10 years.

Mr. Rushbrooke was awarded the M.B.E. for his work for returned soldiers.^3,4,1,5,6 He was Jeweller.⁴ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.⁷

     He was educated at Melbourne Grammar School, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.¹ He was a chemist.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Air Force.¹ He lived in 1976 at Yarra Junction, Victoria, Australia^G.¹
