     Hon. George William Bennet was born on 21 November 1903.1 He was the son of George Montagu Bennet, 7th Earl of Tankerville and Leonora Sophia van Marter.1 He married Constance Clare Wace, daughter of Cyril Wace, on 12 February 1929.1 He died on 12 February 1981 at age 77, without issue.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1925 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1

He married Barbara Huddleston Abney-Hastings, 13th Countess of Loudon, daughter of Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings and Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun, on 5 September 1939.1 He and Barbara Huddleston Abney-Hastings, 13th Countess of Loudon were divorced in 1945.1

     Barbara Huddleston Abney-Hastings, 13th Countess of Loudon was born on 3 July 1919.1 She was the daughter of Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings and Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun.1 She married, firstly, Captain Walter Strickland Lord, son of Captain Arthur Francis Lord, on 5 September 1939.1 She and Captain Walter Strickland Lord were divorced in 1945.1 She married, secondly, Captain Gilbert Frederick Greenwood, son of Frederick Greenwood, on 21 November 1945.1 She married, thirdly, Peter Abney-Hastings, son of William Griffiths, on 15 September 1954.1 She died on 1 November 2002 at age 83.1
     From 5 September 1939, her married name became Lord. From 21 November 1945, her married name became Greenwood. From 15 September 1954, her married name became Griffiths. She succeeded as the 13th Countess of Loudoun [S., 1633] on 24 February 1960.1 She succeeded as the 13th Lady Tarrinzean and Mauchline [S., 1633] on 24 February 1960.1 She succeeded as the 14th Lady Campbell of Loudoun [S., 1601] on 24 February 1960.1
