Sir Richard Croft was the son of William de Croft and Margaret Walwyn.1 He married Eleanor Cornwall, daughter of Edmund Cornwall and Elizabeth de la Barre.1 He died on 29 July 1509.1
He held the office of Treasurer of the Household, to King Henry VII.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Herefordshire.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Herefordshire.1 He fought in the Battle of Mortimer's Cross in 1461, with the Yorkists, the battle being fought on his own estate.1 He fought in the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471, where he captured Prince Edward, son of King Henry VI, but was not responsible for the Prince's murder.1 He fought in the Battle of Stoke in 1487.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1487.1 He lived at Croft Castle, Herefordshire, EnglandG, Croft Castle.1

General Francis Straton was born circa 1806.1 He married Anne Rosamund Orde, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Leonard Shafto Orde and Lady Louisa Anne Jocelyn, on 1 September 1827 at Landford, Wiltshire, England.1 He died on 21 August 1882 at Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.1
