     John Vernon was born on 24 May 1803.¹ He was the son of William Vernon and Elizabeth Mather.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Allen, daughter of John Allen, on 26 February 1835.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Berrisford, daughter of Timothy Berrisford, on 26 February 1857.¹ He died on 4 August 1887 at age 84.¹

     Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. was born on 13 December 1835.¹ He was the son of John Vernon and Elizabeth Allen.² He married Jane Margaret Cooper, daughter of Thomas Cooper, on 30 July 1857.¹ He died on 24 June 1919 at age 83.¹
     He was head of W. Vernon & Sons (millers) of London and Liverpool.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Vernon, of Shotwick Park, co. Chester [U.K.] on 24 January 1914.¹

     Jane Margaret Cooper was the daughter of Thomas Cooper.² She married Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt., son of John Vernon and Elizabeth Allen, on 30 July 1857.¹ She died on 4 June 1910.¹
     From 30 July 1857, her married name became Vernon.

     Sir John Herbert Vernon, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 July 1858.² He was the son of Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. and Jane Margaret Cooper.² He married Elizabeth Bagnall, daughter of John Bagnall and Eliza Bowers, on 1 June 1889.² He died on 13 June 1933 at age 74.²
     Sir John Herbert Vernon, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Herbert.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Vernon, of Shotwick Park, co. Chester [U.K., 1914] on 24 June 1919.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1926.²

     William Allen Vernon was born on 10 November 1860.¹ He was the son of Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. and Jane Margaret Cooper.² He married Elizabeth Marson, daughter of Herbert Marson, on 9 August 1888.¹ He died on 16 February 1939 at age 78.¹
