He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (F.R.C.V.S.)2 He retired from the military in 1936, with the rank of Veterinary-Lieutenant-Colonle, late of the Royal Horse Guards.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1941.2
