     He was given the name of John Russell at birth.2

     Venerable Thomas Newton Leeke was born on 17 January 1854.2 He was the son of Ralph Merrik Leeke and Lady Hester Urania Fellowes.1,2 He married Annabella Mary Williams-Drummond, daughter of Sir James Williams-Drummond, 3rd Bt. and Mary Eleanor Hamlyn-Williams, on 21 April 1880.1 He died on 26 October 1933 at age 79.1
     He held the office of Archdeacon of Totnes.1 He held the office of Canon Residentiary of Exeter in 1921.1
