Lady Jean Margaret Florence Dalrymple was born on 15 August 1905.2 She was the daughter of John James Dalrymple, 12th Earl of Stair and Violet Evelyn Harford.2 She married Arthur Niall Talbot Rankin, son of Sir James Reginald Lea Rankin, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Nest Rice, on 10 October 1931.1 She died in October 2001 at age 96.2
From 10 October 1931, her married name became Rankin.1 She was a Woman Bedchamber to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother between 1946 and 2001.1 She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1957.1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 1969.1

Colonel Philip Sydney Yorke was born on 31 December 1834.1 He was the son of Venerable Hon. Henry Reginald Yorke and Flora Elizabeth Campbell.2 He married Alice Hopwood Schofield Coddington, daughter of William Dudley Coddington, on 19 May 1881.1 He died on 7 December 1881 at age 46, without issue.1
