     William Henry Haig was born on 3 February 1841.1 He was the son of John Haig and Rachel Mackerras Veitch.2 He married Emily Martha Newman, daughter of Reverend William Newman, on 6 June 1871.1 He died on 5 July 1884 at age 43.1
     He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.1 He lived at Broomfield, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He lived at Cameron Birdge, Fife, ScotlandG.1

     John Alicius Haig was born on 5 April 1857.1 He was the son of John Haig and Rachel Mackerras Veitch.2 He married Jessie Marion Purbrook, daughter of Henry James Purbrook, on 29 November 1890.1 He died on 6 July 1933 at age 76.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1

     Jessie Marion Purbrook was the daughter of Henry James Purbrook.2 She married, firstly, Sir Edmund Waller, 5th Bt., son of Sir Edmund Waller, 4th Bt. and Rebecca Guinness, on 2 September 1878.1 She married, secondly, John Alicius Haig, son of John Haig and Rachel Mackerras Veitch, on 29 November 1890.1 She died in March 1926.1
     From before 1890, her married name became Waller.1 From 29 November 1890, her married name became Haig.1
