     Verner Hampton was born in 1831.2 He was the son of Robert Hampton and Martha (?)1 He married Jane Hampton, daughter of John Hampton and Jane Gray.1
     He was a farmer at Ballywilly, Kilmore, County Armagh, IrelandG.3 He witnessed the marriage of Isabella Clayton and Robert Hampton in 1860 at IrelandG.4

     Benjamin Hampton was born in 1844 at Ballywilly, Kilmore, County Armagh, IrelandG.2,3 He was the son of John Hampton and Jane Gray.1 He married Frances Alice Hampton, daughter of Henry Hampton and Sarah Jane Mullen, on 25 January 1877 at St. Michaels Church, Christchurch, New ZealandG.4,2 He died on 9 January 1917.3 He was buried at Ellesmere Public Cemetery, Ellesmere, Canterbury, New ZealandG, plot 674.3
     Benjamin and Edward and Edward Hampton immigrated to Lyttelton, Canterbury, New ZealandG, on the ship Mermaid, arriving on 1 January 1866.2 He was a farmer from 1880 to 1883 at Little Rakaia, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2 He was a farmer after 1883 at Southbridge, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2

     Edward Hampton was born in 1846 at Ballywilly, Kilmore, County Armagh, IrelandG.2 He was the son of John Hampton and Jane Gray.1 He married Eliza Jane McGuiness on 15 November 1876.3,2 He died on 2 August 1914.4 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Old Section, Ashburton, New ZealandG, plot 274.4
     He held the office of Chairman of the Pendarves School Committee.5 Benjamin and Edward and Benjamin Hampton immigrated to Lyttelton, Canterbury, New ZealandG, on the ship Mermaid, arriving on 1 January 1866.6 He was a farmer from 1880 to 1914 at Mossgrove Farm, Pendarves, Canterbury, New ZealandG, Mossgrove was 1083 acres..2

     Kizia Firkin married George Hampton, son of John Hampton and Jane Gray, in 1895.1,2
     She was also known as Kizia Firkins.2 From 1895, her married name became Hampton.1
