John Graham, 6th Earl of Menteith was born circa 1574.1 He was the son of William Graham, 5th Earl of Menteith and Margaret Douglas.1 He married Maria Campbell, daughter of Sir Colin Campbell of Glenorchy and Catherine Ruthven, circa 22 October 1589.2 He died in December 1598.1
He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Menteith [S., 1427] in September 1578.1

Margaret Emma Hanmer was the daughter of Sir Thomas Hanmer, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Kenyon.2 She married George Kenyon, 2nd Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington, son of Lloyd Kenyon, 1st Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington and Mary Kenyon, on 1 February 1803.1 She died on 24 February 1815.
After her marriage, Margaret Emma Hanmer was styled as Baroness Kenyon on 1 February 1803. Her married name became Kenyon.

Caroline Susan Catherine Beresford was the daughter of General Rt. Hon. Lord George Thomas Beresford and Harriet Schutz.2 She married, firstly, Hon. Edward Kenyon, son of George Kenyon, 2nd Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington and Margaret Emma Hanmer, on 19 September 1840.1 She died on 8 March 1866.1

William Graham, 7th Earl of Menteith was born after July 1589.1 He was the son of John Graham, 6th Earl of Menteith and Maria Campbell.1 He married Agnes Gray, daughter of Patrick Gray, 6th Lord Gray and Lady Mary Stewart, after 30 March 1612.2 He died after 13 April 1661.3
He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Menteith [S., 1427] in December 1598.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1626/27.1 He held the office of Lord Justice General in 1628.1 He held the office of Extra Lord of Session between 1628 and 1633.1 He held the office of Lord President of the Council [Scotland] between 1628 and 1633.1 On 13 August 1629 he waived his rights to the title of Earl of Strathearn.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1630.1 He was created 1st Earl of Airth [Scotland] on 28 March 1633, with precedency of 6 September 1428.3 He held the office of Lord President of the Council [Scotland] between 1639 and 1661.1 On 11 January 1643/44 he was regranted the title of Earl of Menteith with remainder to his heirs male whomsoever.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
