Robert Gregan Craufurd was born on 25 December 1804 at Lisbon, PortugalG.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Robert Craufurd and Mary Frances Holland.2 He married Fanny Louisa Wolley, daughter of Admiral Thomas Wolley, on 9 September 1844.1 He died on 16 July 1868 at age 63.1

Colonel Robert Quentin Craufurd was born on 9 March 1880.1 He was the son of Henry Robert Craufurd and Alice Jane Wood.2 He married, firstly, Mildred Mary Kenny, daughter of Rt. Hon. William Kenny, on 5 October 1909.1 He married, secondly, Muriel Frances Darroch, daughter of George Edward Darroch and Adelaide Frances Valpy, on 31 January 1931.1 He died on 10 January 1943 at age 62.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Scots Fusiliers.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He held the office of Member of the Hertfordshire County COuncil.1
