Lt.-Col. Frederick Rossmore Wauchope Eveleigh-de Moleyns, 5th Baron Ventry was born on 11 December 1861.1 He was the son of Dayrolles Blakeney Eveleigh-de Moleyns, 4th Baron Ventry and Harriet Elizabeth Frances Wauchope.2 He died on 22 September 1923 at age 61, unmarried.1
He was given the name of Frederick Rossmore Wauchope de Moleyns at birth.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Kerry.1 He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Hussars.1 He fought in the Mashonaland Campaign between 1896 and 1897, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1897.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Ventry, of Ventry, co.
