     Lawrence Washington is the son of Lawrence Washington and Amy Pargiter.¹ He married Martha Newce, daughter of Clement Newce, on 31 January 1578.¹
     He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1567 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1582 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Bencher of Gray's Inn in 1599.¹ He held the office of Registrar of the High Court of Chancery.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maidstone between 1604 and 1611.¹

     Sir Robert Shirley, 6th Bt. was born posthumously in January 1667/68.¹ He was the son of Sir Seymour Shirley, 5th Bt. and Lady Diana Bruce.² He died circa 8 March 1708/9.¹ He was buried on 11 March 1708/9.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] in January 1667/68.¹
