     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1

Colonel Patrick Sinclair Stoney1

     Colonel Patrick Sinclair Stoney was born on 9 January 1880.1 He was the son of Major George Ormond Stoney and Meylia Laing.1 He married, firstly, Elsie Taylor, daughter of Lt.-Col. Lea Taylor, in April 1911.1 He married Constance Jessie Brine, daughter of Ernest Augustine Brine, on 22 October 1927.2 He died on 17 July 1942 at age 62.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, with the 26th Punjabis.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.1
