     He was given the name of Peter Petersen at birth.¹ He was a physician in 1736 at Neustadt, Alsace, Germany^G.¹ He was Physian-in-Ordinary to Karl Friedrich, Duke of Holstein in 1737.¹ He was Professor of Medicine in 1744 at University of Kiel, Kiel, Germany^G.¹ He was Physian-in-Ordinary to Crown Prince Adolf Fredrik of Sweden in 1747.¹ He wrote the book Description of the Swedish Royal Traveling Pharmacy, published 1766.¹ On 26 January 1770 his name was legally changed to Peter von Heidenstam after being raised to the Swedish hereditary nobility.¹

     Henry Charles Fleeming Jenkin was born on 25 March 1833 at Dungeness, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Jenkin and Henrietta Camilla Jackson.¹ He married Annie Austin, daughter of Alfred Austin, on 26 February 1859 at Northiam, Sussex, England^G.¹ He died on 12 June 1885 at age 52.¹
     Henry Charles Fleeming Jenkin usually went by his middle name of Fleeming.³ He wrote the book Experimental Researches on the Transmission of Electric Signals through Submarine Cables, published 1862.³ He was Professor of Engineering in 1865 at University College London, London, England.³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1865.³ He was Professor of Engineering in 1868 at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.³ He wrote the book Magnetism and Electricity, published 1873.³

     Annie Austin is the daughter of Alfred Austin.² She married Henry Charles Fleeming Jenkin, son of Captain Charles Jenkin and Henrietta Camilla Jackson, on 26 February 1859 at Northiam, Sussex, England^G.¹
     From 26 February 1859, her married name became Jenkin.¹

     General Charles Forbes Jackson was born in 1810.¹ He was the son of Hon. Robert Jackson and Susan Campbell.¹
