Sir Alexander Macdonald, 14th of Sleat, 7th Bt. was born in 1711.1 He was the son of Sir James Macdonald, 13th of Sleat, 6th Bt. and Janet Macleod.1 He married, firstly, Anne Erskine, daughter of David Erskine, on 3 April 1733.2 He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie, 9th Earl of Eglinton and Susanna Kennedy, on 24 April 1739 at St. Paul's Church, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3 He died on 23 November 1746 at BerneraG, suddenly.1
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Macdonald, of Sleat, in the Isle of Skye, co. Inverness [N.S., 1625] in 1723.1 In 1745 he supported the Government during the '45 Uprising, almost the only person in the district to do so.1

Sir John de Sutton was born on 6 December 1361 at Coleshill, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir John de Sutton and Lady Catherine de Stafford.1 He married, firstly, Alice le Despencer, daughter of Philip le Despencer.1 He married, secondly, Joan Clinton, daughter of John Clinton.1 He died on 10 March 1395/96 at age 34.1
