     Thomas Philip de Grey, 2nd Earl de Grey of Wrest was born on 8 December 1781.¹ He was the son of Thomas Robinson, 2nd Baron Grantham and Lady Mary Jemima Yorke.¹ He married Lady Henrietta Frances Cole, daughter of William Willoughby Cole, 1st Earl of Enniskillen and Anne Lowry, on 20 July 1805.¹ He died on 14 November 1859 at age 77.²
     He was given the name of Thomas Philip Robinson at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Grantham, of Grantham, co. Lincoln [G.B., 1761] on 20 July 1786.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Robinson, of Newby, co. York [E., 1690] in 1792.¹ He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² On 7 May 1803 his name was legally changed to Thomas Philip Weddell by Royal Licence.^1,2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)² He succeeded as the 6th Baron Lucas of Crudwell, co. Wilts [E., 1663] on 4 May 1833.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl de Grey of Wrest, co. Bedford [U.K., 1816] on 4 May 1833.¹ On 23 June 1833 his name was legally changed to Thomas Philip de Grey by Royal Licence.^1,2

     Lady Henrietta Frances Cole was the daughter of William Willoughby Cole, 1st Earl of Enniskillen and Anne Lowry.^1,2 She married Thomas Philip de Grey, 2nd Earl de Grey of Wrest, son of Thomas Robinson, 2nd Baron Grantham and Lady Mary Jemima Yorke, on 20 July 1805.¹ She died on 2 July 1848.¹
     From 20 July 1805, her married name became Weddell.³ After her marriage, Lady Henrietta Frances Cole was styled as Baroness Grantham on 20 July 1805. After her marriage, Lady Henrietta Frances Cole was styled as Countess de Grey on 4 May 1833. From 23 June 1833, her married name became de Grey.³

     Lady Mary Jemima Yorke was born on 9 February 1757. She was the daughter of Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke and Jemima Campbell, Marchioness Grey.^1,3 She married Thomas Robinson, 2nd Baron Grantham, son of Thomas Robinson, 1st Baron Grantham and Frances Worsley, on 17 August 1780.¹ She died on 7 January 1830 at age 72.³
     After her marriage, Lady Mary Jemima Yorke was styled as Baroness Grantham on 17 August 1780. From 17 August 1780, her married name became Robinson.

     Thomas Robinson, 2nd Baron Grantham was born on 30 November 1738.¹ He was the son of Thomas Robinson, 1st Baron Grantham and Frances Worsley.¹ He married Lady Mary Jemima Yorke, daughter of Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke and Jemima Campbell, Marchioness Grey, on 17 August 1780.¹ He died on 20 July 1786 at age 47.¹
     He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Christchurch between 1761 and 1770.¹ He held the office of Junior Lord of Trade in 1766.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1770.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1770 and 1771.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Grantham, of Grantham, co. Lincoln [G.B., 1761] on 30 September 1770.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to Spain between 1771 and 1779.¹ He held the office of President of the Board of Trade between 1780 and 1782.¹ He held the office of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs between 1782 and 1783.¹

     Jemima Campbell, Marchioness Grey was born on 9 October 1723.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell, 3rd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland and Lady Amabel Grey.¹ She married Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, son of Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke and Margaret Cocks, on 22 May 1740.³ She died on 10 January 1797 at age 73.³
     She succeeded as the 4th Baroness Lucas of Crudwell, co. Wilts [E., 1663] on 9 October 1723.³ From 22 May 1740, her married name became Yorke. She succeeded as the 2nd Marchioness Grey [G.B., 1740] on 5 June 1740.³ After her marriage, Jemima Campbell, Marchioness Grey was styled as Countess of Hardwicke on 6 March 1764. On her death, the Marquessate of Grey became extinct.⁴

     Lord Henry Grey was born circa 1697.¹ He was the son of Henry Grey, 1st and last Duke of Kent and Hon. Jemima Crew.¹ He died in 1717, unmarried.¹

     Lady Amabel Grey was born in 1698.² She was the daughter of Henry Grey, 1st and last Duke of Kent and Hon. Jemima Crew.¹ She married John Campbell, 3rd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland, son of John Campbell, 2nd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland and Henrietta Villiers, on 20 February 1717/18 at St. James's, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ She died on 2 March 1726/27 at Copenhagen, Denmark^G.¹
     Her married name became Campbell.

     John Campbell, 3rd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland was baptised on 10 March 1695/96 at Chapel Royal, St. James's, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of John Campbell, 2nd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland and Henrietta Villiers.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Amabel Grey, daughter of Henry Grey, 1st and last Duke of Kent and Hon. Jemima Crew, on 20 February 1717/18 at St. James's, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Arabella Pershall, daughter of John Pershall and Charlotte Colepeper, on 23 January 1730.¹ He died on 26 January 1782 at age 85 at Abbey Kirk of Holyrood House, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.³ His will was proven (by probate) in June 1783.³

     Lady Mary Grey was born in 1719.² She was the daughter of Henry Grey, 1st and last Duke of Kent and Hon. Jemima Crew.¹ She married Dr. David Gregory, son of David Gregory, in 1743.² She died on 1 January 1761.¹
