Commander John Becher was baptised on 27 July 1737 at St. Stephens, Bristol, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Reverend Henry Becher and Mary Matthews.1 He married Anne Haysham, daughter of Thomas Haysham and Ann Attwick, on 26 September 1761 at Hagley, Stourbridge, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 7 November 1783 at age 46.2
He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 21 January 1757 in the Royal Navy.2 He gained the rank of Commander on 1 February 1778 in the Royal Navy.1,2

Anne Haysham was the daughter of Thomas Haysham and Ann Attwick.2 She married Commander John Becher, son of Reverend Henry Becher and Mary Matthews, on 26 September 1761 at Hagley, Stourbridge, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1,2 She died between January 1817 and August 1825. Her will was proven (by probate) on 6 August 1825.2

Sir Robert Charles Sinclair of Murkle, 9th Bt. was born on 25 August 1820.2 He was the son of Admiral Sir John Gordon Sinclair of Murkle, 8th Bt. and Anne de Courcy.1,2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Anne Coote, daughter of Lieutenant John Coote, in 1851.2 He married, secondly, Louisa Hugonin, daughter of Roderick Hugonin, on 5 December 1876.2 He died on 5 May 1899 at age 78, without issue.2
He gained the rank of Captain in the 38th Regiment.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Sinclair [N.S., 1636] on 13 November 1863.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2
