Ethel Lucy Wheeler was the daughter of Alfred Wheeler.2 She married Sir James Laurence Cotter, 5th Bt., son of James Lombard Cotter and Claire Mary Segrave, on 6 August 1908.1 She and Sir James Laurence Cotter, 5th Bt. were divorced in 1924.1 She died on 12 April 1956.1

Lt.-Col. Sir Delaval James Alfred Cotter, 6th Bt. was born on 29 April 1911.1 He was the son of Sir James Laurence Cotter, 5th Bt. and Ethel Lucy Wheeler.2 He married, firstly, Roma Rome, daughter of Adrian Rome, on 29 September 1943.1 He and Roma Rome were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Eveline Mary Mardon, daughter of Evelyn John Mardon, on 9 December 1952.1 He died on 2 April 2001 at age 89.1
He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Cotter, of Rockforest, co. Cork [I., 1763] on 22 August 1924.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, in North-West Europe.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1944 in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars.1 He was commander of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars between 1953 and 1956.1 He retired from the military in 1959.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire in 1962.1

Laurence Stopford Llewellyn Cotter was born on 22 August 1912.1 He was the son of Sir James Laurence Cotter, 5th Bt. and Ethel Lucy Wheeler.2 He married Grace Mary Downing, daughter of Ivor Vincent Downing, on 13 March 1935.1 He died on 10 July 1943 at age 30 at Sicily, ItalyG, killed in action.1,3
He gained the rank of Trooper in the Royal Tank Regiment.3 He fought in the Second World War.1
