     Daniel Bayley was born on 13 October 1699.1 He was the son of James Bayley and Sarah Kirkes.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gaskell, daughter of Nathaniel Gaskell, in 1717.1 He married Anne Butterworth, daughter of Thomas Butterworth and Frances Dukinfield, on 24 June 1736.1 He died on 14 May 1764 at age 64.1
     In 1721 he was one of the undertakers for the scheme to make the rivers Mersey and Irwell navigable.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.1 He lived at Hope Hall, Eccles, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
