Maj.-Gen. Richard William Erskine Dawson was born on 31 December 1832 at Malta.2 He was the son of Major George Thomas Dawson and Euphemia Erskine.1,2 He was baptised on 15 January 1833 at Malta.2 He married Florence Anna Barton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh William Barton and Mary Caroline Johnston, on 13 May 1871 at Upper Norwood, Croydon, London, England, in a childless marriage.1,2 He died on 11 June 1890 at age 57 at 27 Perham Road, Kensington, London, England.2

Archibald Campbell Colquhoun was born circa 1764 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John Campbell and Agnes Colquhoun of Killermont.1 He married Mary Anne Erskine, daughter of Reverend William Erskine and Helen Drummond, on 19 September 1796.1 He died on 8 December 1820 at Hartham, Wiltshire, England.1
He was given the name of Archibald Campbell at birth.1 On 13 August 1804 his name was legally changed to Archibald Campbell Colquhoun.1 He held the office of Lord Advocate [Scotland] in 1807.2,3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Elgin Bughs between 1807 and 1810.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunbartonshire between 1810 and 1820.1 He lived at Killermont, Dunbartonshire, ScotlandG.2
