Lt.-Col. Alexander William Lawrence1

     Lt.-Col. Alexander William Lawrence was born on 7 November 1764.2 He was the son of William Lawrence and Amelia Fleming.2 He married Catherine Letitia Knox, daughter of Reverend George Knox, on 5 May 1797.2 He died on 7 May 1835 at age 70.2 He was buried at St. Martin Churchyard, Northstoke, Somerset, England.3
     He held the office of Governor of Upnor Castle.2
