     Her married name became Hamilton.¹ From 12 December 1878, her married name became Barton.¹

     Charles Lockhart Hamilton was born in 1846 at Gilkerscleuch, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He married Catherine Janette Warburton, daughter of Richard Warburton.¹ He died before 12 December 1878, when his widow remarried.¹
     He was in the service of the 72nd Highlanders.¹
