Margaret Croker1

     Margaret Croker was the daughter of Edward Croker and Margaret Anne Hare.1,2 She married Very Rev. Richard Bagwell, son of Colonel John Bagwell and Mary Hare, in 1808.1 She died in 1825.1
     From 1808, her married name became Bagwell.1

     Edward Croker was the son of John Croker and Mary Pennefather.2 He married Margaret Anne Hare, daughter of Richard Hare and Catherine Maylor, in 1783.2
     He lived at Ballynagarde, County Limerick, IrelandG.1

     John Bagwell was born on 3 April 1811.2 He was the son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker.1 He married Hon. Frances Eliza Prittie, daughter of Hon. Francis Aldborough Prittie and Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 21 June 1838.2 He died on 2 March 1883 at age 71.2 He was also reported to have died on 10 March 1883.3
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1834.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clonmel between 1857 and 1874.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tipperary.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.2 He lived at Marlfield, Clonmel, County Tipperary, IrelandG.2

Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy1

     Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 2 August 1819.1 He was the son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker.1 He married, firstly, Isabella Petronella Langley, daughter of Major Henry Langley, on 10 July 1854 in a childless marriage.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Wilkinson, daughter of John Green Wilkinson, on 20 July 1861.1 He died on 2 July 1883 at age 63.1
     He was given the name of Edward Bagwell at birth.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Dragoon Guards.1 His name was legally changed to Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy by Royal Licence on 5 April 1847, after he succeeded to the estate of Colonel Purefoy, who died in 1846.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Vice-Lieutenant.1 He gained the rank of honorary Colonel in the County Tipperary Artillery Militia.1 He lived at Greenfields, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1

Isabella Petronella Langley1

     Isabella Petronella Langley was the daughter of Major Henry Langley.1 She married Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy, son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker, on 10 July 1854 in a childless marriage.1 She died in 1859.1
     From 10 July 1854, her married name became Bagwell-Purefoy.1

     From 20 July 1861, her married name became Bagwell-Purefoy.1

Captain Henry John Bagwell-Purefoy1

     Captain Henry John Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 26 August 1864.1 He was the son of Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy and Charlotte Wilkinson.1 He died in December 1917 at age 53, as the result of a gun accident, he was unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Dragoon Guards.1
