     Sidney Reynett Brown was born on 22 July 1831.2 He was the son of John Southwell Brown and Margaret Anne Vesey.3 He married, secondly, Charlotte Gower Blandy, daughter of Charles Ridpath Blandy and Mary Anne Symonds, on 8 March 1866 at Madeira, PortugalG.4 He married, firstly, Mary Cox, daughter of William Cox, in April 1858.2 He died in January 1903 at age 71.2
