     Hon. Jean Gray was baptised on 5 July 1743 at Liff, Benvie and Invergowie, Angus, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of John Gray, 11th Lord Gray and Margaret Blair.1 She married Francis Stuart, 9th Earl of Moray, son of James Stuart, 8th Earl of Moray and Grace Lockhart, on 28 June 1763.1 She died on 19 February 1786 at age 42.1
     Her married name became Stuart. After her marriage, Hon. Jean Gray was styled as Countess of Moray on 5 July 1767.

     John Gray, 11th Lord Gray was born on 11 April 1716.1 He was the son of John Gray, 10th Lord Gray and Helen Stuart.1 He married Margaret Blair, daughter of Alexander Carnegie of Kinfauns and Jean Carnegie, on 17 October 1741.1 He died on 28 August 1782 at age 66.1
     He succeeded as the 11th Lord Gray [S., 1445] on 15 December 1738.1

     Morton Gray Stuart, 17th Earl of Moray was born on 16 April 1855.1 He was the son of Reverend Edmund Luttrell Stuart and Elizabeth Jackson.1 He married Edith Douglas Palmer, daughter of Rear-Admiral George Palmer, on 17 December 1890.1 He died on 19 April 1930 at age 75.1
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Stuart of Castle Stuart [G.B., 1810] on 20 November 1909.1 He succeeded as the 15th Lord Saint Colme [S., 1620] on 20 November 1909.1 He succeeded as the 17th Earl of Moray [S., 1562] on 20 November 1909.1 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Abernethy [S., 1562] on 20 November 1909.1 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Doune [S., 1581] on 20 November 1909.1 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Strathdearn [S., 1563] on 20 November 1909.1

     Edith Douglas Palmer was the daughter of Rear-Admiral George Palmer.1 She married Morton Gray Stuart, 17th Earl of Moray, son of Reverend Edmund Luttrell Stuart and Elizabeth Jackson, on 17 December 1890.1 She died on 17 April 1945.1
     Her married name became Stuart. After her marriage, Edith Douglas Palmer was styled as Countess of Moray on 20 November 1909.

     Francis James Stuart, 16th Earl of Moray was born on 24 November 1842.1 He was the son of Reverend Edmund Luttrell Stuart and Elizabeth Jackson.1 He married Gertrude Floyer Smith, daughter of Reverend Francis Smith and Mary Isabella Bogue, on 24 June 1879.1 He died on 20 November 1909 at age 66, without issue.1
