     Christian Strang was the daughter of George Strang of Balcaskie, younger and Christian Wood.1,2 She married James Stewart, Master of Buchan, son of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Buchan and Margaret Scrymgeour.1
     Her married name became Stewart.1

     Jonathan Cubitt was born on 7 September 1760.2 He was the son of William Cubitt and Mary Hall.1 He married Agnes Scarlett on 1 September 1785 at Church of St. John Sepulchre, Norwich, Norfolk, EnglandG.2 He died in 1806.1
     He lived at London, EnglandG.1

William Cubitt1

     William Cubitt was born after 1788.1 He was the son of Jonathan Cubitt and Agnes Scarlett.1,2 He died in 1863.1
     He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1860 and 1862.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.3

Laura Joyce1

     Laura Joyce was born on 13 August 1826 at Hitcham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1,2 She was the daughter of Reverend James Joyce and Sarah Brakspear.1 She married George Cubitt, 1st Baron Ashcombe, son of Thomas Cubitt and Mary Anne Warner, on 14 June 1853 at Dorking, Surrey, EnglandG.1 She died on 7 July 1904 at age 77 at 17 Prince's Gate, London, EnglandG.1,2 She was buried at Ranmore, Surrey, EnglandG.1
     From 14 June 1853, her married name became Cubitt.1 After her marriage, Laura Joyce was styled as Baroness Ashcombe on 22 August 1892.
