     Elizabeth Jane Grogan was born on 22 November 1841 at Henryville, Quebec, CanadaG.2 She was the daughter of John Edward Knox Grogan and Elizabeth van Renselaer Powell.1 She was baptised on 21 December 1841 at Episcopal Church, Iberville, Quebec, CanadaG.2 She married Brig.-Gen. Herbert Mark Garrett Purvis, son of Mary Jane Austen, on 9 November 1858 at County Tipperary, IrelandG.1,2 She died on 16 April 1885 at age 43 at Hôtel Windsor, Monte Carlo, MonacoG.2
     From 9 November 1858, her married name became Purvis.1

     Brig.-Gen. Herbert Mark Garrett Purvis was born on 23 June 1831 at Blackbrook Cottage, Fareham, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Mary Jane Austen.1 He married Elizabeth Jane Grogan, daughter of John Edward Knox Grogan and Elizabeth van Renselaer Powell, on 9 November 1858 at County Tipperary, IrelandG.1,2 He died on 8 October 1912 at age 81 at Westcott House, Cullompton, Devon, EnglandG.2
     He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the British Army in Looltan in the East Indies.2

     Dr. Henry Alexander Murray was born on 13 May 1893.1 He was the son of Henry Alexander Murray and Fanny Morris Babcock.1 He married, firstly, Josephine Lee Rantoul, daughter of Neal Rantoul, in 1916.1 He married, secondly, Caroline Fish Chandler, daughter of Alfred Chandler, in 1969.1 He died in 1988.1
     He graduated from Columbia University, Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Medical Corps, U.S. Army.1 He was awarded the Legion of Merit in 1946.1
